Paris Hilton Trying To Forget Benji Madden By Going To Parties

New singleton PARIS HILTON tried her best to put her break-up from BENJI MADDEN behind her by hitting a Los Angeles club on Wednesday (19Nov08) - but quickly left when the apparent heartbreak got too much for her.

The socialite hit L.A.'s Crown bar with pals in a bid to banish her blues just hours after her split from the Good Charlotte rocker was confirmed by her publicist.
And despite the best efforts by her entourage to buck up her spirits - Hilton couldn't face partying and hurried out of the club after just 30 minutes.

"She definitely didn't seem like her usual party girl self tonight. (She was) way more reserved and distracted, like her mind was elsewhere. She was trying very hard to appear carefree, but it was clear she didn't want to be there and was waiting for the right moment to make her exit."

Hilton and Madden announced their nine-month relationship had come to an end on Wednesday, when the hotel heiress' spokesperson simply stated the pair will "remain very good friends".

Paris Hilton reportedly chased ex-boyfriend Benji Madden all over town on Saturday night.

The socialite and the Good Charlotte frontman, who had dated for around eight months, announced their split last week but Paris insists it’s just “a break” and that she’s still in love with Benji.

But according to the Mirror, Benji didn’t want to have anything to do with the heiress this weekend.

A source told the newspaper that Paris was already out partying when she heard Benji was out at Villa nightclub and decided to go over to see him: “All her friends reckoned it was a bad idea. And when Paris set off in a cab [to the club], one thought Benji should be warned and he went mad.

“The minute he put the phone down he ran out of the club, shouting ‘Can’t I have a night out in peace?’.

“They missed each other by a few seconds and Paris was absolutely devastated.”

The source added that Paris thinks some of his friends may have poisoned him against her - particularly after she was spotted flirting with Prince William and her ex-boyfriend Stavros Niarchos over the last few weeks: “She feels she’s had a raw deal. She thinks some of his friends have been whispering things about her, making him jealous.

PARIS HILTON's publicist has confirmed the socialite's split from rocker boyfriend BENJI MADDEN.

The Simple Life star parted ways with Madden at the beginning of the week (17Nov08) after Hilton was snapped partying with ex-boyfriend Stavros Niarchos in Miami, Florida.

News of the break-up first surfaced in America's Star magazine - and now Hilton's representative Alanna MCCarthy has spoken out about the rumours, simply stating that the pair will "remain very good friends".

However, the couple, who had been dating for nine months, is still planning to ring in 2009 together - after they agreed to host Sydney, Australia's New Year's Eve (31Dec08) celebrations.
